On February 8, 2015, a restaurant called “Bahar Kitchen” that provides bento and ready-made dishes opened at Nakagawa station for blue line (Yokohama).
Two of the chefs at the restaurant are Muslims. The menu is multinational dishes with vegetables as its main ingredient. Please be noted that for halal food, it will require longer time to cook.
Since most of our dishes are spicy and uses vegetables as the main ingredient, we actually travel to Bangladesh to get our supplies for spices. Please enjoy our handmade samosa and other delicious cooking.
*They are not halal certified.
*They use pork partially for our menu toward Japanese.
*Although our cooking space is not separated, all of our cookware are exclusively made for halal.

Greeting from the Chef
Hello, I am a Muslim chef. I have over 10 years of experience working at a multinational restaurant and Spain restaurant after coming to Japan from Bangladesh. By utilizing such experience, for your casual dining experience, I am ready to serve you my hand made authentic dishes and tomato sauce/dressing/etc. made with a great deal of time and care.
Along with Spanish, Italian, Thailand, Indian and Japanese dishes, I also recommend you trying out dishes that are hard to find in Japan such as my home land Bangladesh curry. The spices being used for the dish are also from Bangladesh. Please come try my health conscious delicious dishes that are strictly handmade.
Since I use rare and valuable spices that can only be found at local regions in Asia, I get the supply directly from factories that are located in respective local regions. Please enjoy my restaurant’s multinational dishes that uses plenty of such authentic spices.
