Beppu City aims to become a Muslim Friendly Tourist Destination

Last year we had introduced 1 Day Beppu Muslim Friendly Tour. Due to the increased popularity, Beppu City has added more options for Muslim tourists and so yet again we introduce to you two different travel itineraries.

Beppu Muslim Friendly Tour

Reach Oita Airport and transfer to Beppu.

Option 1: Mt. Takasaki

Beppu Muslim Friendly Tour

Japan has a culture of animal loving. And one spot to immerse in that culture is the Takasaki Mountain where you will experience the love Japanese have for the Monkeys. This spot is unlike a zoo that might come to your mind. But instead it is a sanctuary where Monkeys live in wilderness and they will come right next to you so that you too can enjoy this Japanese culture of loving the animals.

Option 2: HANANINGEN

Beppu Muslim Friendly Tour

When in Japan, who doesn’t want to wear a Kimono? Well, this shop located close to the Beppu Station provides Kimono Rental Service. Moreover, this store offers special service of head coverings with beautiful flowers. Also, if you contact them beforehand, they can arrange for you all female staff so you do not have to worry about privacy! Muslim Friendly isn’t it?

Lastly, since Beppu is a small town, be assured that you will feel teleported to the old Japan once you walk through the streets of this town wearing the Kimono.

Option 1: Umitamago

Beppu Muslim Friendly Tour

Next stop is the UMITAMAGO Aquarium, located really close to the Mt. Takasaki. A place recommended for travellers with kids. This aquarium is peculiar as the travellers can enjoy not just a vast variety of fishes but also enjoy watching the dolphins and seals without glass barriers.

Option 2: Charo

Imagine you in a Kimono, relishing the Japanese tea? How about we add a traditional Japanese sweets but Halal? Well, yes this shop ‘Charo’ does that for you! A perfect shop for taking back Halal Japanese Sweets as souvenirs back home for friends and family.

Jigoku Meguri

Beppu Muslim Friendly Tour

When in Beppu, Do see the Hells of Beppu, is what would not be wrong to assert. The 7 Hells of Beppu are must see spots of all tourists. These naturally made “hells” capture your heart in a go. And, with that you can capture them in your cameras. Our recommendation is the Umijogku or the Sea Hell, which looks like a pond of calm crystal blue water. Or the Blood Hell, which as the name suggests is red and looks like blood. Above all, both these spots have free hot spring foot wash, so what are you waiting for.

Beppu Masjid (Mosque)

Beppu Muslim Friendly Tour

The sun begins and set and so time for prayers. Beppu is a home to a central mosque in Kyushu Island and is also not far from the center of the city. The Beppu Mosque is big in size and an Imam from Pakistan will welcome you. There is a high chance you might also be served a cup of tea over conversation. The mosque also has its own Halal Food Shop so do check that also.

Hyotan Onsen

Beppu Muslim Friendly Tour

Next stop is the Beppu Hyotan Onsen. What better way than to relax in a hot spring in the city of hot springs! The Hyotan Onsen has private hot springs for you and your family. Also, if you inform the staff at the counter they will provide you with rental kimono for the Muslim travellers. There is nothing more fascinating and relaxing that looking at the sky while being in the hot spring. Well, there are something’s words cannot explain and this is one of them!

Jidori-ya
