Background of product commercialization and future prospects/delivering fascinating Japanese food culture to many people
Japanese food culture has been enjoying its recent global attention thanks to the registration of “Japanese food” as a part of UNESCO’s cultural heritage in December of 2013. Since the company’s establishment, Marukome has always been making “miso” that has been serving as the essential item for Japanese food. As a company that has been supporting Japanese food culture, we wanted to present this “delicious taste of Japan” to the people of the Muslim world. For this reason, we have decided to launch these safe and secure halal certified “miso” products that can be enjoyed by the Muslim people.
We are also going to simultaneously export these products to overseas (including Islamic world) to expand/popularize the recognition of miso and Japanese food culture. With the sales launch of these commercial-use products as our first initiative of halal certified products, we are going to continue to engage in active product development and overseas expansion.
