A fair of foods and products from Hiroshima Prefecture is held for 14 days from the 14th to 27th of this month at two branches of AEON store in Malaysia (Mid Valley store and 1 Utama store). At the Mid Valley store, approximately 160 items are sold in a large special event space. A wide variety of products are introduced, including brown rice and vinegar, which are said to be good for beauty, and seasonings made using oysters, which is the signature local food of Hiroshima Prefecture. There are some products that are not familiar to people in Malaysia such as a Japanese-pickle mix, but there are explanations in English on how to prepare the foods, which should help the consumers. If you are looking for Japanese food that is a little bit different from the ordinary, we recommend you check it out. However, not all products are halal certified, so please pay attention when sampling or purchasing the products.
