1.Please tell us the characteristic of your company and products (what you want to promote).
Tokachiseika Co., Ltd. is a company manufacturing and selling Japanese confectionaries in Hokkaido. We mainly sell chilled Japanese confectioneries to convenience stores all over Japan. In cooperation with Ambang Dorongan in Kedah Prefecture of Malaysia, we developed “Mochi” making use of our technology and recipe. There are three flavors including “white” “matcha” and “sakura” flavors, all with red bean paste inside. The “Mochi” is so delicious and soft, it is hard to believe that it is frozen food.
2.Please tell us the reason you decided to acquire HALAL certificate.
We believe that HALAL is a condition required for Muslim people to “safely and securely” enjoy “Mochi.” Also, we believed that making the product HALAL will expand the possibility of future success when exporting “Mochi” made in Malaysia to overseas countries.
3.Please tell us if there are any recommendations for serving the products.
It is ready to enjoy immediately after defrosting, and does not require any cooking. Please enjoy the fresh taste of soft “Mochi.”
4.Please tell us the responses you received at MIHAS exhibition.
I was surprised and also felt that there is potential regarding the fact that many people knew about the traditional Japanese confection, “Mochi.” When I saw the exultant expression of customers tasting the sample, I felt a strong desire to promote the product even more.
5.Where can we buy the products?
The products are currently available at the deli section of AEON Shah Alam store. We are engaging in business activities to increase stores to sell our products. Moreover, we would like to spread business with other industries such as food service industries so that anyone can enjoy “Mochi” at ease.

We would like to develop products other than “Mochi” in the future and have more people know about Japanese confectioneries.
