Let’s stroll around Islamic street in Shin-Okubo

Speaking of Shin-Okubo, you may have heard that it is famous for Korean Town. However, there is a street called Islamic street, where you will see Turkish and Indian food shops as well as restaurants actually.

Islamic street is located in Shin-Okubo, one station from Shinjuku. Soon after you exit from the station, you can turn right at the corner of the pharmacy named Matsumoto-Kiyoshi.

You can find some Southern Asian people walking along the street. That is the Islamic street.

Merah Putih Café, an Indonesian restaurant, stands on the left side of the street. Merah Putih Café serves traditional Indonesian cuisines such as Nasi Goreng and Rendang.
