The next travel destination, Yokohama
Located in Kanagawa Prefecture – neighbor of Tokyo, Yokohama has always been one of popular travel destination with its fascinating spots. Only 30 min by train from Tokyo station, Yokohama will let you have a lot of impressive memories!
This time we had fam trip group from Malaysia, Indonesia, and SIngapore to enjoy Yokohama together.

Red Brick Warehouse
Red brick warehouse or “aka-renga” in Japanese, is one icon of Yokohama with its elegant quaint and retro exterior, hosting a variety of fascinating souvenir shops and cafes. Red brick can be catch up by 10 min walk from Nihon-Odori station on Minato-mirai line.
How to get to Nihon-Odori station
If you depart from Tokyo station, get your way until JR Yokohama station then change to subway Minato-mirai line. Get on train board for Motomachi-Chukagai.
For departure from Ikebukuro or Shibuya station, take subway Tokyu Toyoko Line board for Motomachi-Chukagai. You will arrive at Nihon-Odori station without transfers.
Halal lunch at Port Terrace Café
Port Terrace Café is located just 5 min walk from Red Brick Warehouse. Located at 3F of JICA building, Port Terrace Café serves dishes from various countries and of course, halal foods!!
Pray and shopping at World Porters
World porters is one huge shopping center in Yokohama, located just beside JICA building. They have comfortable prayer room on 6F that you can use for free!
Before heading straight to 6F, you have to go to information center at 2F to get permission and password to use the prayer room.
After received the guidance, go up to 6F by elevator, turn left and go all the way. You will find prayer room at the innermost on the left side.
World Porters’ prayer room is large enough to do prayer in congregation (jama’ah). The most pleasing is, there are complete prayer equipment ; prayer mat, mukena/telekung (prayer clothes), compass, and wudu’ space! There is also a storable partition to separate men and women pray space.
Hakkeijima Sea Paradise
A must-visit place in Kanagawa Prefecture! There you can enjoy not only great blue sea scenery, but attraction and contact with sea animals. This time we had a visit to Hakkeijima Aqua Museum inside Hakkeijima Sea Paradise, one of the largest aquarium in Japan!
Here you can find various of sea animals and the rare one like this!
Besides of aquarium, you can enjoy animal attraction and have direct contact with animals!
How to get to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise
Hakkeijima Sea Paradise is located in Hakkeijima Island that can be accessed about 45 min by train from Yokohama station.
From JR Yokohama station, take Keihin Tohoku line board for Ofuna. Get off at Shin-Sugita station then change train to Yokohama Sea Side Line board for Kanazawa Hakkei.
Get off at Hakkeijima station and take a walk about 10 min to the center of Hakkeijima Sea Paradise.
You can get on free bus from Hakkeijima station to Hakkeijima Sea Paradise!

Where to Shalat
Hotel Sea Paradise Inn located inside the area, just beside the Fureai Lagoon, could provide you space for shalat at unused meeting room. Please note that you need to make a call beforehand (English OK) so they can make the space ready for you.
Experience Sea Bass at Yamashita Park
Yamashita Park has been one of the most popular travel spot in Yokohama, that serves you great scenery ocean, skyscrapers, and the iconic ferris wheel at the same time.
Here in Yamashita Park, you can experience sea bass that will take you for sail and enjoy Yokohama sparkling on the evening. Go to ship terminal, buy ticket costs JPY 1,000, and let’s get on!
We recommend to ride sea bass on the evening as you can enjoy sunset with buildings’ silhouette, that will definitely excite you!
