Long-established Sushi restaurant “Kousushi”

Established in 1878, Kousushi restaurant is a long-established Sushi restaurant located 30 minutes from Ikebukuro. You can also take a 5 minutes ride with a bus from JR/Tobu ‘Kawagoe’ to Kousushi restaurant. This Sushi restaurant is popular among many people for a long time. You can enjoy Sushi and Japanese cuisines made with carefully selected seasonal ingredients.

Kousushi Muslim-friendly Menu

Kousushi restaurant has started serving Muslim-friendly menu since May 2018 to meet Muslim customers’ expectation.

You can choose a variety of menus like Nigiri-zushi, Donburi, set menus and A la Carte menu. And of course, restaurant uses Halal certified chicken and beef.
Among the menus, we recommend you ‘Fuku Fuku Bento’. This Bento box menu contains six small dishes that you can choose by yourself.

Choose one dish from each two of Fish, Meat and Vegetables dishes options, and you can also choose two rice dishes from five rice dishes options.

Fish menu are available in Japanese original Saikyo Yaki (fish cooked with Saikyo Miso) and Deep-fried Salmon.

Meat menu are available in Ushi Nikomi (stewed beef) and Niwatori Shigiyaki (chicken grilled with Miso).

Vegetables menu are available in Yasai no Takiawase (simmered vegetables) and Salad.

In particular, Deep-fried Salmon is very popular among Southeast Asian Muslims. People who don’t like rice dish with raw fish can enjoy delicious and hearty Tendon and Roast Beef menu.

Kousushi serves foods according to the food policy below, so that Muslim customers can rest assured.

Prayer room also available!

Kousushi restaurant provides prayer room, so that you can dine without worry when the time for prayer has come. You can perform prayer in a clean traditional Japanese Tatami room.

Kousushi also provides water facility for wudu (ablution), prayer clothes for Muslimah and prayer mat.
